Hadith 184
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ، أَنَّ رَبِيعَةَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: يُسْتَجَابُ لأَحَدِكُمْ مَا لَمْ يَدْعُ بِإِثْمٍ أَوْ قَطِيعَةِ رَحِمٍ، أَوْ يَسْتَعْجِلَ فَيَقُولُ: دَعَوْتُ فَلاَ أَرَى يَسْتَجِيبُ لِي، فَيَدَعُ الدُّعَاءَ.
“the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "The supplication of any of you is answered as long as he does not make supplication for a Sin or cutting off ties of kinship or become impatient and say, 'I made supplication and was not answered,' then he stops making supplication.'”
