Hadith 264
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، وَمَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالاَ: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللهِ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: مَنْ لَعِبَ بِالنَّرْدِ فَقَدْ عَصَى اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ.
“the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Anyone who plays backgammon has rebelled against Allah and His Messenger.”
Backgammon a board game in which two players move their pieces around twenty-four triangular points according to the throw of dice, the winner being the first to remove all their pieces from the board.
